Are pets allowed to sail on The Liberté?

Service dogs are welcome on all sails aboard The Liberté. Dogs are also welcome on private charters. However, all pets must remain above deck, as well as stay on a leash during departure and as we return. If you have a lifejacket for your pet, we also ask that you bring it with you on your sail. We also ask that you leave your dog at home for public sails.

What if I am prone to motion sickness?

If you typically become sick when sailing, it is essential to take your medication an hour and a half before your sail. If are unsure of whether or you will get motion sickness on the water, consider how you feel while riding in a car. For guests who get motion sickness on the boat, we offer motion sickness wristbands to alleviate nausea. We also provide a natural medical oil that can help with unforeseen motion sickness.

Can I bring food on The Liberté?

Yes! Guests are welcome to bring food on The Liberté. However, please refrain from bringing ceramic or glass that could be potentially dangerous if broken during your sail. Additionally, please try to keep portions of solid food light and easy to transport, as the variable wind and waves are out of our control!

Are children allowed on The Liberté?

Yes! The Liberté is a fully netted, family friendly schooner. In addition to safety netting around the boat, we also provide small child-size life jackets, so your kids are well-protected at all times while on board.

What if there is inclement weather?

Sailing in the rain is not quite as fun as enjoying the water on a sunny day! Private charters can opt to not sail in the event of inclement weather as well. We offer refunds for inclement weather, as well as rescheduling opportunities depending upon availability.  If you still want to sail in the rain, we offer jackets, which we will undoubtedly be wearing as well. Generally, public sails are canceled in the event of a storm of inclement weather.
